Shinsuke Yoshida is the creator of Haruka Pottery. He has been a ceramicist for over twenty years and lives in the pottery village of Echizen. He uses the local and robust clay of Echizen, one of the 6 traditional ceramic regions in Japan whose activity has been recorded for over a thousand years. His work with natural textures is full of nuances, those of light on the subtle whites of his enamels and his objects which seem to bring depth to everyday life.
